How to Use Our Single Line Fonts With Shaper Origin

There are a handful of ways you can use Single Line Fonts© fonts with your Shaper Origin machine.
SVG Versions - these can be used in Inkscape with the Hershey Text Extension to create true single-line format text. Then they can be exported or saved as SVG files to transfer to the machine or use in Shaper Hub. I currently have three fonts in this format.

FontLab Pad Format - this is an awesome option to create true single-line text. It creates SVG files which can either be directly used with the machine or used in your choice of programs such as AI, Inkscape, Affinity Designer, etc. Every Single Line Font© is available in this version.  These are bundled in with my TTF and OPF versions.

TTF - this version traces directly over the lines a second time. This version is also available in every font I carry.  This can be installed in your system and used directly in AI, Affinity, etc. to create your designs and then use with Origin. True type and open type format fonts have to have "closed paths". To work around this, I create the lines as exact duplicates that have no outlines. This version works wonderfully, but takes longer and the cuts can be a bit deeper.

OPF format - this is an amazing option. It works with three programs: Pazzles InVue, Sure Cuts a Lot v. 4 or 5, and Make the Cut. These are low-cost programs that save you tons of time! You can even join the script letters together, making your cuts super quick. This is a true single-line format.  It is available in all my fonts, and can be found at this link.
